When it’s time for your daily caffeine fix what do you typically go for? Coffee for its instant jolt that can wake you up instantly or tea for its calming qualities that still manage to give you that much needed kick of energy to get you through the day?
Don’t get us wrong, we still have a thing for coffee, although we are an amazing tea company, and sometimes it really does do the trick. But when it comes down to it we should consume more tea because statically tea is the far superior beverage.
Don’t believe us? Here’s why. Between the high levels of anti-oxidants, calming properties and slowly released caffeine, tea is absolutely the perfect beverage to improve your life, health and focus.
While both beverages can act as fantastic pick-me-ups, coffee has much more caffeine and acid in it and when consumed too much it can have negative affects on your body. Tea on the other hand has slow releasing caffeine, so you can drink multiple cups and not feel as jittery and shaky like you would with coffee.
Tea is also great for keeping you hydrated. While coffee can do the same, tea has the added benefit of generally being just pure H2O which means tea can help your skin get hydrated quicker.
Tea also contains catechins, which are natural forms of antioxidants and vitamins. Coffee does as well, but not to the extent as tea. Tea is packed with antioxidants that fight cancer, amino acids that support focus and alertness and helps increase metabolism, decrease appetite and stabilize blood sugar.
Finally, tea or rather specifically, green tea has also been found to work as an anti-depressant, meaning that taking a cup next time you’re feeling a little low might just help boost your mood. Coffee on the other hand might give you too big of an energy kick and will just have you feeling more stressed out.
So there you have it folks, tea is clearly the better beverage choice.
