Most of us start our mornings by hitting the snooze button repeatedly, trying to sleep for as along as we possibly can. But this unmotivated and lazy attitude can actually affect how you feel for the rest of the day.
You should look at the morning as a productive time, where you can prep for the rest of the day. So in order to make the most of your morning, perhaps you need to establish a more motivating morning routine.
So we have rounded up some morning rituals that can set you up for a happier and much more positive day.
Those extra few minutes of snoozing always seem like a great idea, until you finally wake up and realize you only have a few minutes to get ready for work. So instead of feeling scrambled and unprepared getting out of the house, go to bed 15 or 20 minutes earlier so that it's easier to avoid hitting snooze in the morning.
Depending on how early you wake up, you should try to fit in a quick workout as it will get your body and mind awake, and jump start your energy. This will also get your heart rate fired up which will help you burn more calories. If you don't have time for a workout, try doing some stretches once you wake up to get your blood flowing and your mind alert.
Our mother's were always right when they said breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Eating first thing will not only get your metabolism working faster, but it will help you get focused and stay energized until lunch. Skipping breakfast means that it takes longer for your body to receive the nutrients it needs to maintain a healthy weight. But this doesn't mean you should eat leftover pizza for breakfast. Try to eat something with protein as it will keep your focus sharp.
Dress Accordingly :
There's nothing worse than being in a rush to get to work and in your panic you put on two mismatched socks, or a stained shirt in the process. If you want to feel good, you need to look good. So to avoid scrambling to get ready, lay out your clothes the night before. This will save you so much time each morning because your entire outfit will already be waiting for you. This will give you more time to relax and focus on yourself.
Once you're awake, mentally think about what you need to get done that day. What are the biggest things you want to accomplish? What do you need to get completed first? By organizing your priorities for the day you will be able to tackle the more challenging tasks first, making the rest of the day a breeze.
Finally before you head off for the day, you need to make sure to that you are energized for the rest of the day. Whether you prefer coffee or tea, have a cup at home or on your commute to work. We suggest trying For Teas Sake 'Let's Do Breakfast' black tea. This loose leaf English breakfast tea is a wake up call to your senses and will keep you energized all day.
