Take your green smoothies to the next level by using green tea as the base. Unless you brew a super strong batch of green tea, you won’t even notice the taste in your smoothie, but you'll reap all of the wonderful health benefits that green tea has to offer. This green tea smoothie is not only simple to make, it's extremely nutritious and it's perfect for any meal of the day.
1 Cup brewed For Tea's Sake loose leaf green tea
1/3 Cup yogurt
1 Fresh or frozen medium banana
1 Cup baby spinach
1/2 Cup Ice Cubes
1 Teaspoon coconut oil
1 Teaspoon honey
-Combine hot water and loose leaf tea. Steep tea for 10 minutes then remove tea leaves from the water.
-Let the tea cool down.
-Place all of the ingredients and the tea into your blender.
-Blend on high for 30-45 seconds or until the desired consistency is reached.
-Taste your smoothie and add more honey if needed.
If you prefer a more flavorful smoothie, you can add a ½ cup of frozen berries. Or if you're looking to add more nutrition, add a serving of a preferred protein powder.
