Over here at For Tea’s Sake, we believe that we’re pretty much experts when it comes to making the perfect cup of tea. But the truth is, when it comes to drinking tea, personal preference really matters.
But we like to think that we’ve made the process a bit easier for you because every For Tea’s Sake blend uses only the finest quality of ingredients. Combine that with our tea steeping expertise, a touch of personal preference, and you can expect an incredible cup of tea bursting with flavour in every sip.
So when it comes to making that elusive ‘perfect cup’ there’s a few key steps that need to be completed first. You must start by choosing a really good quality loose-leaf tea, as this will guarantee the most flavour, colour, and aroma. It’s also important to use filtered tap water, so when filling your kettle, use freshly drawn cold water.
Once you boil your water, add it to your tea. One teaspoon of loose-leaf tea per cup will be more than enough. But you can always add more or less based on the strength that you like.
When it comes to brewing, we recommended that you allow loose-leaf tea to brew in a teapot for no more than seven minutes. It’s best to keep in mind that the larger the leaves the longer the brewing time.
You can add milk, lemon, sugar, or honey to enhance your tea’s flavour — or you can just enjoy it black.
To ensure you make a perfect cup every day, make sure not to over boil the water, or over steep your tea, as this can result in a more bitter taste.
